RJD2, vlastním jménem Ramble Jon Krohn je americký hudebník, producent a DJ pocházející z Eugene ve státě Oregon a nyní žijící v Columbusu v Ohiu. RJD2 byl členem hudebních skupin jako Soul Position, MHz Legacy, and Icebird. Ramble Jon Krohn je vlastníkem hudebního vydavatelství RJ's Electrical Connections. Podle časopisu Wired je jeho umělecký pseudonym odvozen od droida R2-D2 ze Star Wars.

Život a dílo

Ramble Jon Krohn se narodil 27. května 1976 v Eugenu v Oregonu, přestěhoval se do Columbusu v Ohiu, kde prorazil. Ramble Jon Krohn se začal věnovat hudbě od roku 1993. V roce 2002 podepsal smlouvu s hudebním vydavatelem Definitive Jux a vydal své debutové album Deadringer. RJD2 později spolupracoval s rapperem Blueprint pod názvem Soul Position a v roce 2003 vydal 8 Million Stories u hudebního vydavatelství Rhymesayers Entertainment. V roce 2004 vydal své druhé sólové album since We Last Spoke opět u hudebního vydavatelství Definitive Jux. Soul Position vydala druhé album : Things Go Better with RJ and AL, v roce 2006 pod vydavatelstvím Rhymesayers Entertainment. V roce 2006 vyšlo album Magnificent City, kde spolupracoval s rapperem Aceyalone. Magnificent City zahrnovalo song "A Beautiful Mine", který byl použit v úvodních titulcích seriálu Šílenci z Manhattanu. V roce 2007 RJD2 vydal sólové album The Third Hand s vydavatelstvím XL Recordings.
